On the waterfront of Oakland, sits Jack London Square. This bustling zone has delicious waterfront restaurants, unique shops, hotels and entertainment. It's also home to one of the Bay Area's coolest and probably oldest bars - Heinold's First and Last Chance Saloon, which opened in 1883.
Member, Milan Greene, took advantage of a sunny mid-week afternoon to cruise Tugs over to the East Bay and grab a beverage from the historical saloon. The trip from South Beach Harbor took about 45 minutes, giving Milan and his friends plenty of time to find the guest dock, visit Heinold's AND Scott's Seafood before exploring the Oakland Estuary on their way back to San Francisco.
"It was awesome! I had no idea this bar was here and bringing Tugs over was a super cool way to get there," Milan told Bjorn, owner of Tug's Boat Club.
